Pakistan Bomb Blast : A horrific explosion took place during a cricket match in Pakistan's northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday. One person was killed and several people, including children, were injured in the incident. Confirming the incident, police said that the explosion took place at the Kausar Cricket Ground in Khar taluka of Bajaur district.

Chaos in the exploding field

Police officer Waqas Rafique said that according to the initial investigation, the explosion was caused by an IED. Eyewitnesses said that the explosion during the match caused chaos in the field. The ground shook due to the bomb blast and people fled the field in panic. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment.

The police are investigating.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident. Police suspect that the militants may have carried out the blast in response to recent counter-terrorism operations in Bajaur district. Security forces are continuing their investigation and have increased patrolling in the area to prevent such attacks in the future.

Three days ago, 11 people were killed in a blast in Quetta.

It is worth mentioning that such violent incidents have been increasing in Pakistan recently. On September 3, a bomb blast in the parking area of a rally in the city of Quetta killed 11 people. The police are also investigating this explosion, which appears to have been a suicide attack. These incidents are becoming a major security challenge for the Pakistani government.
