- Shocking report from Canada's Finance Ministry - Not just Khalistani: Other terrorist groups are also receiving money from some political party

Ottawa: Canada's Finance Ministry has released a shocking report, stating that not only separatists but also other violent groups are receiving money from some political parties to spread violence in the country.

The 2025 report titled 'Money Laundering and Terrorist Finance Risks' estimates that pro-Khalistan groups like 'Babbar Khalsa International' and the International Sikh Youth Federation have been placed under the category of Politically Motivated Violent Extralegal (PMVE). This is called 'voluntary organisations and charities that help to achieve their objectives by providing financial support.'

The report further states that such groups resort to violence to assert their influence. They are classified as terrorist groups under the Canadian Criminal Code. Among these, the Khalistani group seeks to establish an 'independent' Khalistan in the Indian state of Punjab.

This report has called Hamas and Hezbollah well-funded groups. The so-called voluntary organizations (NPOs) are doing the financial inn. The intelligence community in Canada has also given such a report. Therefore, India's statement that 'Canada has become a safe haven for anti-India elements' is true.
